OUR FACILITIES

Our main lodge, building and most of our chalets consist out of Sandstone, Thatch roofs and Sleeper wood. We offer functions facilities of up to 300 people. Our professional chefs will guarantee that the most delectable cuisine can be enjoyed by our guests. The Lodge has a cash bar overlooking a Swan Lake with a variety of other water birds. Enjoy a Sundowner in the lapa overlooking the dam while viewing the most exquisite sunsets. Bed and Breakfast is available per arrangement.

Being in the Northern Free State in South Africa, half of Lechwe has bushveld type vegetation with mainly Thorn and Karee trees. The rest consists of Savannah plane. The unique Sungazer (cordylus giganteus) or "Ouvolk" is also found in our area. Our summer climate reaches temperatures of 30 degrees celsius with winters approximately 18 degrees. This is also a Malaria free environment without any pollution whatsoever.

We guarantee that all 30 species of wildlife will be seen during game drives or hiking trips.

Although conservation is of prime importance to Lechwe Lodge, trophy hunting is allowed during the hunting season in order to restore any ecological imbalance. Lechwe Lodge offers the hunter a wide variety of species in their unspoilt natural habitat while a professional hunter will ensure a successful expedition. We also offer an auction venue with 80 bomas.
